A prize will go to the first one to turn in her Bow filled and for the Cheerleader who raises the most. Total of a full Bow is $450 goal is to at least reach $250 on the bow. Each cheerleader will be assigned a squad team in May at the close of registration. OXNARD KNIGHTS official Season begins July 15, 2024 but CHEER CLOSES MAY 17,2024 (NO FURTHER APPLICANTS AFTER THIS DATE) Siblings will be able to travel with each other and I will ensure that if they have a football player sibling/family member they will be able to travel with that team so that it is easier for parents or guardians to transport them all together.
· Knights Cheer is a commitment, and We want to ensure that your cheerleader can make memories and experience the joy of being a sideline cheerleader, this will be a fun and exciting time and also very time consuming, there will be practices and Games and some practices are mandatory and its important that all cheerleaders are at games, so that routines learned are not interrupted because a child is absent. Please note that I know there is an exception to the rule and things come up. As long as communication between the Parent, Coach and Cheer Director are always open we can have a very Successful 2024 Cheer Season.

WELCOME TO THE OXNARD KNIGHTS CHEER 2024 SEASON
Channeling Energy.
As one of the highest energy sport there is, cheerleading offers a great way for children to express their energy, stay in shape, and improve their overall sense of well-being. Teaching children to channel their energy in positive ways creates behavioral patterns that supports them into adulthood.
Communication Skills.
Learning how to communicate is critical in cheer. This sport helps our youth to develop direct speaking skills, with the ability to interpret body language through peers. Through effective communication, our youth are better able to perform alongside their peers and the more socially capable they become outside of the cheer world.
Community Building.
Youth cheerleaders begin to understand the importance of being connected to a larger community. They are able to discover that being a cheerleader means contributing to something larger than themselves, representing an athletic community. This sense of belonging is so important for the emotional development of children. When young kids form strong relationships with their cheerleading squads, coaches, and community they are given an emotional base that they can rely on for years.
